My Wedding Day

One of my goals until my 28th birthday (my 27 before I turn 28; on my facebook page) is to at least blog once a week about things that make me the most happy. Those things are love, weddings, magical moments, anything whimsical in my view. So, I'm going to start with my very own wedding day which was September 5, 2009. I am going to do my 10 favorite moments. Have fun with these, take a look, and please feel free to share your favorite wedding moments with me by e-mail and I'll share your "fairytale." I'd love to see your birthday list too. You can send them to stacimccall@gmail.com. :-)

10. Village People McCall style at the reception. I love them. They can have a blast anywhere at any time and they really stick close to you. We have gone through some bad stuff, crazy stuff and even put each other through the worst, but we are family and they stay, no matter what. As my sister yelled out at the reception..."you'll always be a McCall." She is right!

9. The cake and flowers! I love gerbera daisies and our colors were pink and orange, so that's what the bridesmaids carried and they were on top of our cake too!! My sweet friend Allison Martin made the cake too and it was so yummy! The cake was the beginning of mine and Brandon's compromises, haha. He likes red velvet and I love lemon so we split the layers up!

8. My hairpiece my friend and photographer made me for my wedding day. She knew my colors were pink and orange and she made this sweet thing for me and I still have it and love it lots! I didn't wear it for the ceremony, but I popped it in for the reception and took some adoreable pictures with it.

7. Creativity! I love photographers that are creative and mine captured that. So, here is just one of many she did. Staci + Brandon = 4 eva! True that!

6. I love, love, love my wedding dress!! Sometimes I wonder if it's normal to regret your dress after your "BIG" day, but I think it is. I always look at others people photos and think aww...why didn't I think of that?! But, I think that's what makes days like this so magical, someone is always doing something special and creative, but all in all, I love my dress!!! No regrets, just love!

5. The Photos and the scrunch face! I love photos, I like the fact that one photo can capture the most special moment. How sweet is it that God allows us to capture those?! One of my favorite parts of the day was taking the pictures, even in a field in the middle of nowhere when it was hot and bugs were flying up my dress. Brides - there are always pictures you forget to take, sadness...write them out, have a trusted friend be your photographers right hand girl and don't miss any moments. I make this face a lot and I love my bouquet too!

4. Unity Painting! A lot of people use some kind of visual on their day to represent the two souls becoming one. Some do the candles, some do communion, some do the sand..and we chose PAINT! I know, I was worried about getting it on my dress, but nope...didn't happen. Yay for me! I love it and it makes me want to involve paint in my trash the dress shoot. I will say one regret I have, I have a friend named Kaitlin Biedler and she paints the scene of the actual day and she is awesome, but I didn't use her just b/c I didn't think about it, ahh!! So, consider that!!

3. Sibling LOVE. I love my sisters and my brother! The only thing missing was...Dustin, but I'll see you in Heaven!! Shannon is the oldest, the blonde and how pretty is she! Well, we have a pretty family. :-). Crissy is in the pink and my baby brother Preston is who we are carrying. We all aren't in the same place a lot, so I love taking pictures of when we are and taking advantage of it. I love them sooooo much!

2. My bridesmaids of course. Some of the BEST girls ever; Kimberley, Kailee, Jessica, Erica, Crissy, Erin! Enough said!

1. THE TEXT! Of course, there is the becoming one and the first kiss and blah blah...but my most special moment was this text I got from Brandon about 4 hours before I would say "I do." It means the world to me and I'm so glad Hannah was able to capture it!!! Stay tuned for the next lovely blog. xoxoxo.
